According to BFM Paris, 51 Parisian firefighters were attacked during the four weekends of the ‘yellow vest’ protests.
Across France as a whole, assaults rose by 23 per cent in 2017.
600 firefighters and 100 fire engines were deployed during the ‘Yellow Vests’ protests in Paris.
On 1 December, they extinguished 249 fires and rescued 133 injured people, two of whom were in a serious condition.
On 8 December, they responded to 184 fires and carried out 95 rescue operations.
