Paris: Firefighter doused with acid whilst on duty

At around 5 pm on Wednesday, the Paris Fire Brigade were called to a flat in the 20th arrondissement to deal with an agitated individual. The individual then splashed sulphuric acid at two people, including a firefighter. The firefighter, in a life-threatening condition, was rushed to the CH Begin hospital. Paris police subsequently arrested the attacker.
