Tarn: a person accidentally falls into a well

PHOTOS. Firefighters in the Tarn were called out late on Monday afternoon to rescue a person who had fallen down a well.

According to SDIS 81, the victim, who had fallen accidentally, was lying at a depth of approximately 5 metres. Resources dispatched from the Saint-Sulpice and Albi fire stations set up a system using ropes to enable a firefighter to descend to the victim.

Once in contact with the victim, the rescue worker fitted the victim with a harness to enable them to be brought to safety. “The ambulance crew treated this person, who was in a state of relative emergency, and transported them to hospital,” added SDIS 81.
