This Sunday morning, at around 9 am, two ski patrollers from the Morillon ski resort (74) died; at the time of the accident, they were handling explosives to trigger preventive avalanches.
The fire brigade and the PGHM have found the two ski patrollers in the Lanches area.
The fire brigade confirmed to our colleagues at France Bleu Pays de Savoie that the two men had not died in the avalanche but whilst handling explosives.
The Chamonix High-Altitude Gendarmerie Unit has been put in charge of the investigation.
