On Thursday, several explosions were heard on the Lyon 1 University campus.
The fire broke out on the roof near a bookcase.
The fire is thought to be linked to the waterproofing work currently being carried out, and the explosions were caused by three gas cylinders stored on the terrace catching fire.
Three people were injured in the fire; their injuries are not life-threatening.
