Twenty-four departments placed on orange alert for snow and black ice

Météo France has just placed twenty-four departments on orange alert due to the risk of snow and black ice.

The following departments are affected by this alert: Aisne (02), Ardennes (08), Aube (10), Cher (18), Eure-et-Loir (28), Indre (36), Indre-et-Loire (37), Loir-et-Cher (41), Loiret (45), Marne (51), Nièvre (58), Nord (59), Oise (60), Pas-de-Calais (62), Paris and the inner suburbs (75-92-93-94), Seine-et-Marne (77), Yvelines (78), Somme (80), Yonne (89), Essonne (91) and Val-d’Oise (95).

"Snowfall significant enough to make driving conditions difficult," states Météo France in its weather warning bulletin.
