Experts at Météo France have just placed Corsica, along with 23 other departments, on an orange alert for snow and black ice.
"Please be extremely careful and vigilant if you absolutely must travel. Check the traffic conditions. Observe any traffic restrictions and diversions. Ensure you have the essential equipment in case you are stranded for a prolonged period. If you need to set up a generator, you must place it outside any buildings. Avalanches/Orange – Check the conditions on high-altitude roads. Follow the instructions and safety guidelines in force at ski resorts and in mountain communities." Météo France states.
