A team of firefighters was subjected to insults and threats from an individual on Wednesday in Raismes in the Nord department, according to our colleagues at Ouest France.
The man was arrested after verbally abusing one of the firefighters; he pulled out a knife. The man, who was clearly drunk, was quickly subdued and taken to hospital in Valenciennes. He will be prosecuted for verbal abuse and making threats.
No one was injured in the incident. The man was taken to Valenciennes Hospital. He will nevertheless be prosecuted for “insults” and “threatening a person carrying out a public service duty”.
