A violent fire, followed by numerous explosions, broke out during the night between Thursday and Friday at a petrol station in Trans-en-Provence, according to our colleagues at Var Matin. The fire quickly spread to the gas cylinder storage area.
Significant human and material resources were deployed by the SDIS 83 fire service, notably from the Draguignan fire station. More than thirty firefighters were deployed, along with four fire engines, a vehicle carrying a foam-making unit, an ambulance and a command post.
Fortunately, no one was injured. An investigation has been launched to determine the causes and circumstances of the fire.
