A serious road accident occurred on Sunday evening in the town of Houdain, in the Pas-de-Calais, according to our colleagues at La Voix du Nord. When the emergency services arrived, several victims were in cardiac arrest.
According to our information, which has been confirmed by our colleagues, two vehicles –a Renault Scenic and a BMW- they were involved in a violent collision shortly before 10 pm. More than thirty firefighters from the SDIS 62 were deployed. Several rescue operations were required.
A two-year-old child and a 33-year-old man have died. A four-year-old girl and a 29-year-old woman were airlifted to Lille Regional Hospital in a serious condition.
An operation is currently underway following a road traffic accident involving two light vehicles in General Mitry, Houdain. Resources deployed: Number of personnel: 31; Number of vehicles: 12.
