A worker who was carrying out work alongside two other colleagues – both of whom are unharmed but in a state of shock – is missing this Wednesday, following the collapse at 9.30 am of a tunnel in the commune of Moriez, near Saint-André-les-Alpes, in the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence. Forty firefighters from SDIS 04, including a dog-handling team, are working to locate the missing man, who is buried under tonnes of rubble. He is believed to have been spotted around midday. His two colleagues have been admitted to hospital in Digne. The three workers were carrying out reinforcement work on this Chemins de fer de Provence tunnel, approximately 1.2 kilometres long, when a section collapsed.
