LIVE. According to our sources, a police officer who was on duty during the 19th ‘Yellow Vests’ protest on Place de la République in Paris suffered a cardiac arrest shortly after 6 pm on Saturday. He was taken to hospital in a condition described as serious.
Members of the Paris Fire Brigade performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation for nearly forty minutes. The circumstances in which the police officer collapsed remain unknown to our editorial team.
