According to our colleagues at the Midi Libre, a man armed with a knife is reported to have entered the grounds of the Lycée Jean-Moulin in Béziers, in the Hérault department, on Tuesday morning. Officers from the national police force are currently carrying out searches.
All classrooms have been closed and the pupils are being kept inside whilst the police carry out searches. A suspect is being sought.
Shortly after midday, the alert was lifted and the pupils were able to leave the school. We do not know whether the individual was arrested.
