Four firefighters from the Indre-et-Loire Fire and Rescue Service (SDIS) were injured at dawn on Monday morning whilst responding to a flat fire in a block of flats in Tours-Nord.
According to our colleagues at France Bleu, the fire was quickly brought under control, but an explosion occurred whilst firefighters were carrying out a reconnaissance of the basement. The blast caused four firefighters to suffer from tinnitus; they were taken to Trousseau Hospital.
