If you’d like to become volunteer firefighters, now's the time.
Four new fire stations will be built by 2021,
- 2 in Toulouse
- 1 in Aussonne
- 1 in Mongiscard
In view of this increase in activity, the fire service is planning ahead and appealing to the public. They are looking for volunteers aged between 18 and 55 who embody the values of mutual aid and solidarity. Two information sessions are scheduled for 2 and 4 May at the Ramonville-Saint-Agne fire station. Selection will be based on physical fitness and medical criteria, as well as a motivational interview with a panel.
Firefighters are called out very frequently and need to assess the situation properly before setting off. 10 per cent of their call-outs do not constitute genuine emergencies.
