On his Facebook page, the trade union laments, with a touch of irony, "unconditional support" from the command, before adding: "We could also remove the audible and visual warning devices from our lorries... We’d rather suggest that this local resident move to the countryside, where there will be fewer fire engines… That way, he can write to the owners of the crowing roosters, the ringing church bells and the passing tractors.”.
Management understands the local resident’s concerns
According to our information, confirmed by Labour force, this junction is heavily used by all the fire stations in the south of Haute-Vienne.
It was last Sunday, whilst the cockerels were crowing for Easter, that the complainant filled in a contact form on the website from SDIS 87. Just two days later, the message was forwarded, accompanied by a note asking officers to use the recommended route where possible.
