According to our colleagues at Provence, following the announcements made by the Prefect of Vaucluse in the wake of a series of attacks on firefighters during the night between Wednesday and Thursday in L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, a team was attacked whilst on duty.
Firefighters were pelted with stones once again. No one was injured. On Wednesday, Prefect Bertrand Gaume announced the introduction of preventive measures to tackle attacks on firefighters in Vaucluse, which have risen sharply, as they have nationwide.
