They don’t put out fires, but they know how to uncover clues that are completely invisible to the untrained eye. Firefighters from the RCCI unit investigate the causes and circumstances of fires. Every centimetre is inspected, analysed and photographed. These investigative firefighters do not have a judicial role, but their expertise in fire is essential to the police.
