🔥 A fire is currently burning in the Var department, in the commune of Chateaudouble
Several aircraft are involved in this operation, as well as water-bombing aircraft (ABE)
Please do not tie up the emergency lines and help to ensure they remain accessible

10.30 am – Fire breaks out in the western part of the Canjuers Military Camp following a live-fire exercise
11.16 am – Reinforcements from the Var Fire Brigade
2.00 pm – 15 hectares of vegetation burnt; the fire is spreading unchecked
15:02 – 2 Trackers, 2 water-bombing helicopters (HBE) and 2 Canadairs providing support
5.30 pm – The fire has been brought under control and remains under observation until it is completely extinguished.
The fire has been put out; between 15 and 20 hectares have been burnt.
