A fire has been reported near the village of Villeneuve-les-Maguelone (34) in the Hérault department.
At present, around twenty firefighters and two AirTractor water-bombing aircraft from the department are on the scene.
A housing development is reportedly under threat.
Update 5.15 pm: The fire has now been brought under control; 3 hectares have been burnt.
