On Monday morning, The eighth and top floor of a block of flats in Paris’s 16th arrondissement was engulfed in flames. The incident took place, more specifically, at number 14 Avenue Dode de la Brunerie, near the Parc des Princes.
To bring the fire under control, a total of 80 firefighters, twenty vehicles and seven hoses were deployed. “At 1.20 pm, we still haven’t got the fire under control,” said Captain Lointier of the Paris Fire Brigade to LCI, even though the fire had broken out earlier that morning.
The fire chief also gave a provisional toll of "Three people suffered minor injuries, including a firefighter who was burned by a zinc spill."Many social media users shared images of the spectacular fire on Twitter. The images show thick plumes of smoke, followed by flames shooting out from the roof of the building.
