A decree dated 5 July 2019, published in the Official Journal on 11 July, provides for a 1.2 per cent increase in the hourly allowance for volunteer firefighters with effect from 1 August.

This Order is in accordance with the agreement reached between the National Federation of French Firefighters (FNSPF), the Assembly of French Departments (ADF) and the Association of French Mayors (AMF), with a view to striking a fair balance, as itoffsets the bulk of the inflation recorded in 2018, whilst remaining within the limits of the increase in departmental operating expenditure set out under the Cahors Pact.
