A pine forest fire has been reported in the commune of Loupian in the Hérault department. Significant ground and aerial resources have been deployed to tackle the blaze.
Update at 7.00 pm: the fire is reported to have spread across 5 hectares of pine forest, and a sheepfold has been saved. Around 60 firefighters and three Air Tractor aircraft from the SDIS 34 departmental unit are tackling the fire, which is now under control.
Update at 6.35 pm: The A9 is closed in both directions between the Sète (No. 33) and Agde (No. 34) junctions
