It is a piece of information as has just been revealed by our colleagues at France Bleu Gard Lozère. The fire that struck the communes of Générac and Saint-Gilles in the Gard department, destroying nearly 500 hectares, is believed to have been started deliberately.
In fact, according to France Bleu Gard Lozère, the team investigating the causes and circumstances of the fire is reported to have found clear evidence regarding the point at which the fire started.
A press conference is currently being held by the Public Prosecutor of Nîmes.
