EMERGENCY INFORMATION. A Civil Protection water-bombing aircraft, which was responding to a fire in Générac, in the Gard, on Friday afternoon, crashed as it was about to carry out a water drop. According to our information, the aircraft was a Tracker 22.
The pilot has died. According to eyewitness accounts received by our editorial team, the plane flew into the thick smoke from the fire before emerging from it "very low", "leaning to the left", "before crashing to the ground".
