A wildfire is currently affecting a pine forest near the town of Montirat (11), which is situated in the Aude department near the Montagne d’Alaric in the Carcassonne area. Numerous ground and aerial resources have been deployed to combat the rapid spread of the flames, which is being fuelled by at times strong winds. Please avoid the affected area to facilitate the fire service’s operations.
