On Thursday, a man armed with a ceramic kitchen knife stabbed several police officers at the Paris Police Headquarters.
According to the latest reports, three police officers and one administrative staff member have been killed. A woman, an administrative staff member, was rushed to Percy Hospital in Clamart (92).
The attacker has been subdued; he was an administrative official at the Ministry of the Interior, and the theory of an internal conflict is currently being treated as the most likely explanation.
The President of the Republic, the Prime Minister, the Minister for the Interior and the Secretary of State at the Ministry of the Interior are on site.
The investigation has been handed over to the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Regional Directorate of the Judicial Police.
