The events date back to September 2016 in Marseille. According to a report by our colleagues at The Dispatch, the 36-year-old homeless man was arrested by officers from the police station in Narbonne (Aude).
He is accused of assaulting, verbally abusing and punching a firefighter who had come to his aid after he had collapsed on the streets of Marseille.
According to the same source, the man has been taken into police custody and has partially admitted to the offences. He is due to appear before the criminal court on 19 November.
