According to our colleagues atActu.fr (Metropolitan), two firefighters were injured on Thursday morning whilst responding to a flat fire in Marsillargues, near Lunel in the Hérault department.
Initial reports suggested it was a chimney fire. But once they arrived on the scene, firefighters from the Lunel and Marsillargues stations discovered a very different situation. The flat was completely ablaze.
Whilst work was in progress, a false ceiling collapsed, injuring two firefighters. According to the same source, they were taken to the Lapeyronie Hospital in Montpellier for further examination.
