According to a post on their Facebook page, firefighters from the Ain SDIS have not been receiving any emergency calls since early Tuesday afternoon due to a technical fault.
This is the second time in a month that the problem has arisen. On 3 October, several fire and rescue services (SDIS) in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region were affected by a telephone outage.
Pending resolution of the incident, members of the public are advised to dial 15 or 17 if they need to contact the fire service.
