The Director-General of Civil Protection and Crisis Management (DGSCGC), Prefect Alain Thirion, announced on Monday morning the death of a firefighter from the Seine-et-Marne Fire and Rescue Service (SDIS 77).
He died on Sunday evening whilst on his way to his shift. "All Civil Protection staff extend their sincere condolences and support to his family and colleagues" the DGSCGC tweeted.
