Whilst on their way to an emergency call-out during the night between Wednesday and Thursday, three firefighters from the Ceyzériat fire station (Ain) were involved in an accident. Their fire engine ended up on its side.
According to our colleagues at *Le Dauphiné Libéré*, three of the six firefighters who were inside were injured. They were taken to hospital, but their lives are not in danger.
According to the same source, an internal investigation has been launched by the Ain Fire Service, as well as an investigation police. "We already know that driving conditions were difficult, with fog and a slippery road surface", explains Colonel Jean-Luc Panis, the new deputy director of the Ain Departmental Fire and Rescue Service (SDIS), to our colleagues.
