A new DASH 8 “Q400MR” water bomber was delivered on Sunday 2 February to the Civil Protection air base in Nîmes (30).
Less than a year after the delivery of “Milan75”, it joined the DASH 8 fleet, becoming the fourth aircraft of this type for the French civil emergency services; its call sign will be “Milan 76”.
The DASH 8 is a versatile aircraft used for a number of purposes: water bombing, personnel transport and equipment transport.

Eventually, the DASH 8s will replace the last remaining Trackers still in service.
Four more aircraft of this type have been ordered; the delivery date for the next "Milan 77" aircraft is not yet known.
