We have received a report of a fire in the commune of Val d’Aigoual in the Gard department, near the Hort de Dieu arboretum, close to the ‘400 Steps’ hiking trail.
A large number of ground-based resources, as well as two Canadair aircraft, are on site.
More than 20 hectares have now been burnt, and the flames are spreading towards areas that are inaccessible to vehicles.
