According to the website Emergency Information, disaster was narrowly averted on Saturday shortly before 5 pm. A fire service tanker from the Loire left the road for an unknown reason, before coming to a halt on its side in a ravine.
As they were heading out to tackle a bush fire in Saint-Étienne, the three officers from the SDIS 42 who were inside were injured, including one ‘on a more serious note’ as reported by our colleagues at the Progress.
