Whilst the fire brigade notes that "notable results" Over the past few hours in Gironde, nearly 21,000 hectares have been destroyed by fire since Tuesday 12 July, particularly in La Teste-de-Buch and Landiras.
On the other hand, across the Mediterranean region, the alert level has been raised by one notch, with a total of: 30 areas at ‘very severe’ risk, 53 at ‘severe’ risk, 24 classified as ‘moderate’ risk and just 13 as ‘low’ risk.
