A major fire has been reported in the commune of La Rochette (04).

FOLLOW-UP:
8.30 pm - The extent of the fire has been confirmed; it has spread across 57 hectares. Three Canadair aircraft carried out around 40 drops and one Dash aircraft carried out two.
3.30 pm - The area burnt has been revised to 50 hectares for the time being. One Dash has been requested as backup. The fire is still spreading unchecked.
3.00 pm - A new report puts the total area burnt at 70 hectares.
2.45 pm - The fire is spreading unchecked; air support is requested.
2.00 pm - Tactical firefighting reinforcements have been requested at regional level; two Canadair aircraft from Civil Protection have just arrived at the scene.
1.00 pm - According to initial reports, 10 hectares are believed to have been affected by the fire, with around 100 hectares under threat. The situation is serious.
12.30 pm - A major fire broke out at around 12.00 in the commune of La Rochette (04). Numerous resources from the SDIS 04 are on their way.
