A major fire has been reported in the town of Saint-Cyr-sur-Mer (83).

6.30 pm - According to the latest figures, the fire has spread across 8 hectares. The fire is under control.
5.30 pm - The fire has spread across 2 hectares, but its intensity is now subsiding thanks to the efforts of ground crews and the four Canadair aircraft and three HBE helicopters on the scene.
3.50 pm - A number of SDIS 83 vehicles are on their way. One Morane and four Canadair aircraft have been deployed to tackle this fire.
3.30 pm - A large plume of smoke is rising into the sky above Saint-Cyr-sur-Mer. We are receiving numerous alerts via our mobile app Forest Fires.
