A major bushfire has been burning since 3.50 pm in the commune of Fabrègues, in the Hérault department.
The emergency services are on the scene.

7.30 pm: The fire has been brought under control; it has burnt through 38 hectares of vegetation. Three homes, a water intake point and a sewage treatment plant have been secured. Around 290 firefighters from the Hérault and Bouches-du-Rhône departments, supported by four Canadair aircraft and two departmental aircraft
5.20 pm: The fire is still burning and is heading towards the A9 motorway. 10 hectares have been burnt. The emergency services are being supported by Civil Protection’s aerial resources.
4.00 pm: Active fire; homes are in the path of the fire’s spread
