Fire extinguished in Axat (Aude). A fire, reported on the side of the road after a car caught fire, required the deployment of a helicopter before it was extinguished.

🔥 Situation Update – Axat/Lapradelle Fire
The wildfire that broke out between Axat and Lapradelle, near the Col du Campérié, has now been contained.
➡️ There are no longer any active flames, but several hot spots and areas still smoldering remain in the area.
🌲 Approximately 2 hectares of vegetation have been burned.
🚒 Firefighters will remain on duty tonight to continue treating and dousing the hot spots and to monitor the area to prevent the fire from reigniting.
🙏 Thank you to the firefighters on duty for their response and their presence throughout the night.
